My son lives in Atlanta and his girlfriend Jennie Palmer is an angel to dogs. She regularly fosters dogs before adoption. She worked as a volunteer at a no-kill dog shelter called PAWS. She recently helped round up stray dogs in a pack around a firefighter training center. She showed up at 5 am to recover the dogs and saw to it that they all got medical attention and were put up for adoption. She also went to the Bahamas to rescue pot cake dogs from being destroyed.
She has taken in an older mixed breed dog (Diamond) that was deemed unadoptable. Diamond ran away and Jennie formed a search party of about 200 people and posted signs. My son went over to help her and found her sitting on the curb with food and water crying in the rain. A man who had seen one of the signs called from a cell phone and said he was following Diamond. She was recovered. Diamond has psychological problems. She is not friendly. If another person looks at her, she begins to growl and get aggressive. But Jennie still took her in.
