Jennifer Lyle & Software Testing Solutions

The staff of the Cesar and Ilusion Millan Foundation would like to extend its sincere gratitude to Software Testing Solutions. The software development company has generously donated $12,000 dollars toward the rehabilitation and placement of abused and abandoned animals.

This socially conscious company believes that part of being truly successful is giving back to the community. So, after a profitable year, the Millan Foundation was selected to benefit from their hard work. If Software Testing Solutions meets its sales goals for the next year, the company hopes to be able to donate an even larger amount next year - $50,000!

"We believed that the contribution would be put to great use. We have a lot of faith in Cesar and his ability to make change," said Jennifer Lyle, Founder & Director of Business Development at STS.

Lyle practices Cesar's methods with her own rescue dogs; two aggressive chows and a dominant Jack Russell-Fox Terrier mix. Watching Dog Whisperer and reading Cesar's books helped her have a more balanced pack!

"His lessons made such a difference for us, and I think his teachings go beyond just dogs. The message about calm-assertive leadership is wonderful for our children. It's wonderful for our work environment. I think it is an important lesson beyond that scope. I think it was Gandhi who said you can tell a lot about a nation by how it treats its animals, and we still have a way to go on our dogs," said Lyle.

The company's philanthropic endeavors also include a unique benefit for employees. Each individual is offered the opportunity to contribute to their personal favorite 501(c)3 cause, like a church group or an animal shelter, and the company will match up to $1,000. Employees are also allowed to take off 20 hours a quarter to participate in community service, such as working at a soup kitchen.

"I volunteer at Therapeutic Riding of Tucson where I train the horses for the handicapped children to ride," said Lyle. "Your work is important but it's important to be balanced -- to have more than just work. The more we are active in our community, the better citizens we are, and therefore the better workers we really are."
